Our Range is located on Jacob's Plain north of Greenville, Texas on FM 118. From Interstate 30, take exit 96 go north 1/4 mile on Loop 302 and turn right on FM 499. Go 1/4 mile east on FM 499 and turn north on FM 118. Go 11 miles north. Do not take the spur into Jacobia. Stay on FM 118 past the intersection of FM 1566. Or from Grayson County, take Hwy 11 east out of Whitewright toward Wolfe City. Turn right on Hwy 34. Turn right again, continuing to follow Hwy 34, then curve to the left. SEPTEMBER 20, 2009 Hat Creek Regulators – Monthly Shoot The Hat Creek Regulators does not have a permanent range but holds monthly shoots in the nearby National Forest and on BLM land. Shoots are normally the third Sunday of the month pending weather and other restrictions. The range boasts two shooting areas, a lower range that has modern camping (no RV hookups) for modern tents or campers, and an upper range for primitive camping and long range rifle shooting. A safety meeting will be held at 9:00am with shooting to start promptly at 9:30am. Lunch and soft drinks will be provided. To get to the range take Indiana Hwy 37 from Indianapolis south to Martinsville Indiana. Go to the fourth stop light which is Mahalasville road. Turn left (if coming from the north) Go approximately six miles to Bear Wallow road, turn right, go approximately 2.2 miles. Range is on left hand side of road and is marked. Don't be too apprehensive about the steep hills, the area we will use is flat and easy walking.
