Welcome To NCOWS

A Tall Tale

NCOWS LogoThe National Congress of Old West Shootists (NCOWS) was founded in 1994 to promote "safe Western Action Shooting including the re-enactment and promotion of the historical Old West heritage of the United States in all its ethnic, social and occupational diversity" during the period 1865 to 1899.

NCOWS members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and occupations to experience the Old West. Among the common activities NCOWS members enjoy are Western Action Shoots which is timed shooting sport in which shooters compete on a series of different shooting stages. The shooters are attired in Old West style clothing, and use firearms typical of the guns used in the Old West.

Convention

NCOWS 2012 CONVENTION

March 16-18, 2012
Paroquet Springs Convention Centre
Shepherdsville, KY

MAP

It is recommended that anyone coming to the Convention, please get their applications sent in before March 1, 2012. Any later than that and we can not guarantee a plate at the Banquet. Please pass this on to any other NCOWS members you know of who might be thinking of coming to the Convention.

LADIES TEA- Maureen Cacciatore, has graciously volunteered to host the Ladies Tea at the Convention. This will be held on Saturday, I believe at 1:00 PM. We need to know how many plan on attending since we need to get the food and drinks ordered. I need to have this number by March 1 to get things set up at the Convention Center. Please let me know if you plan on attending the Ladies Tea. We also need to get some donations to pay for this separate event. I think the Center charges us $14 each for the attendees at the Tea.

Thanks. Jim Mullins
